perfect instructions, however no need to disconnect the coil pack, and x2 on checking to makes sure your boots are seated. A wobble extention bar made the job a little easier on the 2 plugs nearest the firewall.needsrepair said:People think anyone can change plugs. But not everyone can do it correctly.
1. Loosen the plug a turn or two.
2. Use an air compressor and blow the crap out around the spark plug so it wont fall in the cylinder or get pinched against the plug seat when you put the new plug in. Poor contact between the plug and head can cause the plug to run hot.
3. Use antisieze on the threads.
4.Torque the plug.
Have fun trying to take the connector off the coil pack.

Now if you want to do your Jeep a favor, change the oil and filter, air filter, lube the steering linkage, ball joints, driveshaft, change all wiper blades, drain and refill Transfercase fluid, drain and refill tranny if automatic, check axle fluid levels, check air pressure of all 5 of your tires, inspect brakelines, cylinders, pads, rotors, drums, shoes, adjust rear brakes if drum type, lube all door, hatch, and hood hinges/cables, inspect all u-joints, inspect exhaust sytem, rotate tires, wash and wax jeep, and then polish the flux capacitor brackets.
probably forgot a lot of stuff, but somebody will spot it...
