Tow Package

In the Renix years there was a relay setup that went in the drivers side rear that buffered the trailer lights from the regular system. It just plugs into the existing system. I grabbed one a few years back but have never used it.

My F-250 has a manual transmission and factory towing package. Part of that towing package was 3.55 diff gears instead of 3.07.

Also check you first gear ratio. I will bet a cup of coffee. It's deeper then 4 to 1.

You're right. I just looked it up online; it seems to be 5.72:1. I'm surprised; it doesn't feel like it's that low.

i thought the tow package chero's came with 3.73s :dunno:

Depends. I know that I looked at about 5 97-99 XJs with tow packages and they had 3.55 gears.
