The Steering bolts that is !!!

I got my new bumper from Rocklizard today and I want to put it on this weekend.
I did not order that bracket and the dealer says 6 days to get it in.
I Might just order the Crok inside plate and have it shipped next day air.

So did you break those bolts when you installed your bumper ?
Thanks
Andy

The steering box bolts? Nope, they were on tight and threadlocked, but came out fine. I've got a '99 with plenty of surface rust on the bolts - PB Blaster is my best friend.

i just installed the jcr offroad front stage 4 with unibody tie in's .
( and had a blast chopping the fenders )
but had no problems with the steering gear bolts ,
they were tight and had blue thread locker on them , but they came right out .

Yup I broke 2 out of the 3. I didn't put any sort of inner plate on mine when I did the install and honestly I've been kicking myself that I didn't. I've been waiting to see if my steering gear will go so I can just install a durango box all at the same time but if I were you, I'd find something stronger than that crappy aluminum spacer.

Also while you've got it out take a look at your hydraulic lines on mine one of the two was in BAD shape and crumbled apart when I tried to remove it. It was a good time to find out that it was about to die.
