I had takin out my 99 AW4 because It was slamming into third gear and eventually stayed there, but ended up being a damaged torque convertor... Maybe after I get my other TC and sye I'll just drop another tranny and put the 96 torque convertor in the 99...

Go to a junk yard and pull a low mileage AW4 from a 98 to 01 and drop it in.Should be able to grab one for under $150.Like was said its rare to see them go
