Hey Ya'll
I'm noticing a "knocking" sound and it's coming from a weird place: the passenger compartment floorboard/firewall area. But here's the thing; it only happens at idle (goes away around 1500 rpm), and you can't hear it under the car or in the engine compartment!
The frequency of the knocking increases with engine rpm, but I really don't think it's an engine knock; Getting on the highway this morning, I took it to 5,000rpm in first and second gear, and it was as smooth as a babies bottom. Could it maybe be in the bell housing, like something with the pressure plate or clutch?
Anyone have any idea what this could be? I really hope it's not internal engine, but if it is, I need to figure it out fast!
Thanks in advance!
