They'll have to wait till winter is over and the mountain dries out. Then start building. Take the road completely out, work in rebar, locklink bricks, and cement into the side of the mountain, then pave new road across.

Nope! No injuries. Some guy was just cruising down the hill at a reasonable speed and said WTF!!!!!!! (Calls into work, Sup Boss? I'm gonna be late!)
On a serious note, you can use hwy 18 through Victorville or hwy 38 through Redlands to take a paved road to BB. Otherwise there are numerous fire roads that'll take you there.
You can take 2N33 through Silverwood into Arrowhead and on in. But I've heard parts of this trail have been washed out, fallen trees in the way, and boulders on the road as well so be careful whichever way you take.
