stalling...

Every time I clutch in while coming to stop (sign, light, etc,) I stall...

This includes clutching coming off freeway offramps, where I don't even stop, just slow way down.

Also, sometimes while accelerating it seems to stop "pulling" briefly.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

I haven't had a chance to do anything yet, but someone told me it might be the fuel filter. However its not EVERY time that it stalls so I'm not sure...

Where should I start?

Does it die when you throw it in neutral and then stop, or just when you push in the clutch?

Hey, been having the same problem in my 90, and my buddy has the same problem in his commanche every once in awhile. I think its a renix thing. I ran fuel system cleaner and it went away, but that might just be placebo. If you do that, use system cleaner, not injector cleaner, system cleaner is more potent.

Likely a sticky IAC, clean it up and let a couple of drops of oil run behind the pintle (piston).
A sticky EGR valve can also do this, but less likely.

Idle Air Controller.

on my 89, it located on the front left side of the throttle body next to the tps.
