Actually... one thing that was looked at was the fact that on earth day EVERYONE is doing something and we will be lost in the background noise (we did not get ANY coverage 2 years ago from what I know). So... doing it at a different time then everyone else will make us stand out a bit more.

Did we do anything to let the media know we were out there doing trail maintenance? How 'bout a press/news release letting the media outlets (radio/tv/print) know what we are doing.

The media is not going to know if we are doing something if we don't tell them.

Thats great. I think we should look into getting a "real" news story aired about it.

from what I recall media was contacted (or rather press) but as I said: I'm not surprised that we got lost in the background noise.

how about we send a bunch of pictures and an artice to the guys at jpfreak magazine? i know its a small e-zine but its better than doing nothing!

I've never made this event, I'm never sure why. But then I look at the calendar. My wife's birthday is April 28th, and our annivarsary is May 8th. WWWWKTSH!

I haven't been to big bear in a while, so I'm planning on it this time!
