Sluggish brakes???

Hey guys, so after I installed my 3" lift and 31's it seems like my brakes are only engaging up front. It just seems like my braking ability is soft. Still using my 8.25, decided to sell my Dana 44 and buy an 8.8. Any advice?

bleed them.

check the adjusters.

check wheel cylinders.

replace with disks.

the drums are notorious for not being able to stay adjusted. biggest benefit to a disk swap is not having to worry about that anymore.

What year?

Have you adjusted the rear shoes?

1995. No I haven't yet. I bought new shoes and wheel cylinders this morning as well as SS brake lines.

Great starting point short of doing the Grand Cherokee rear discs on your 8.25.

Yeah not going to do that swap as I am going to sell my Dana 44 and then in turn buy a Ford 8.8 with disc brakes.
