"The pitman arm converts the rotary motion of the steering gear to the linear motion of the centerlink. When a vehicle has a suspension lift installed, the pitman arm changes its position in relation to the centerlink. A dropped pitman is designed to compensate for a vehicle's suspension lift to help maintain the factory feel at the steering wheel by eliminating "bump steer" and any potential interference with the steering components and the vehicle's chassis."
This will fit 1984-2001 Cherokee and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee. Item #JA500.
I had this on my jeep with 8" of lift and it allowed my steering to drop more than it would with the stock pitman arm and gave me more flex. It was on my jeep for about a year and I paid over $200 for it from quadratec.
