So its awsome were in moab. But my jeep sucks and its been a disaster so far we left the jeep on the trail for the nite. We broke the rear drivshaft. Lost the efan. Motor wont run and the stering shaft broke off the orbital.

Sorry to hear your having a lousey time with the Jeep too... Make the best of it Stefan, your out there with good people with an extraordinary amount of resources and talent. What trail did you have to leave it on?

Rusty nail. We think its a cps issue. If i get the dumb thing running the steering wont bee too much of an issue. We were going to run pritchet but we messed up the meeti g point in the morning meeting point and didnt get to do it. Which was probably for the best. Cause we would have been super Fed if we had done what we did on that trail.

Stefan, did the engine quit running right after the driveshaft broke?

Check your rear O2 sensor and harness wiring and the blue (think they're 15 amp) mini fuses in the PDC under the hood. I bet the power wire to the rear O2 got shorted to ground and blew the ASD relay fuse, has happened to me eventually on every XJ I've owned.

The fix is 3 feet of e-tape and a new fuse... and some zipties so it doesn't hit the driveshaft anymore :gee:
