Repainting Car Hood?

Hello,

My 97 XJs paint on the hood looks like S**t, but the rest of the jeeps paint looks great. I was wanting to repaint the hood. Has anyone has any experience doing this?

Any help or tips would be appreciated

With what type of paint? How old is the car? What color? How much are you willing to spend? What part looks bad? Is it peeling or flaking?

A lot of people here have plenty of experience, but you have to be a little more specific.
