I have picked up a scrap xj that had a bad title. It sound like it had rod knocking or broken skirt on number 6 cylinder. In the scrap process, I pulled to save the head since it ran nice and tick settled after starting. I found a nice block with little or no ring grove showing .050 pistons. I dropped the transmission and found flexpate center busted out. As well as it ran, and the way the block looks, I have no doubt it was the flexplate making the noise. Waterpump appeared new and freezeplugs still bright and shiny. 125.00 dollars/obo and will pallet for shipping/drop off terminal. It should require no machining for budget stroker build. Discount if pick up.
