thanks joe, i got it running right, all it needed was to move the distrib one tooth to the right. you are the man, and thank you to all that gave input.
now if i may ask for more help, i still cant get my speedo to work. ask any questions about that you would like, im just not sure what info i should give....

Ok, is your speedometer gear "indexed" correctly? Does the cable turn?
