Redline Hood Shock Kit Installation

I won a Redline Hook Shock Kit http://www.redlinetuning.com/ from my Truck Club http://www.customtacos.com during our annual club meet (Awesome site, best resource for Toyota Tacoma's anywhere on the web). Well since I wrench more on my Jeep than my Toyota, I asked if I could have the kit for my cherokee instead and they said yes, so I finally got around to installing the kit this weekend and here are the pics. I have to say, this kit is very well designed, a single shock can hold the hood open, and the two of them make it very easy to open the hood and not have it hit me in the hand or head again. Makes working on the rig so much easier:repair:.

The installation is simple, just measure the hood for the upper brackets, measure the hood/fender for the lower brackets, drill 8 holes and rivet the brackets in (even came with color instructions). I only had two simple issues, I mounted the driver side hood bracket a little to far in and the shock hit my windshield washer reservoir(but I have to move it for the 96 booster swap anyway) and my coolant reservoir support plate did not mount perfectly against the fender so the fender bracket had to be moved down about an inch to fit right.
