I'm sure a lot of you have never heard of him... He was a pioneer in many facets of racing, and the things he was able to achieve were beyond the scope of most people's comprehension.
I met him in the mid 90's while working for Dan Gurney at AAR. Drino was head of Toyota Racing Development (TRD). He and his team were able to squeeze as much as 650 horsepower out of a little 2 litre 4 cylinder engine, and could estimate to within a half an hour +/- as to when that motor would grenade.
