Does yours have that wierd heater contol valve in the heater hose? Having this hooked up wrong seems to have caused issues for others.

I had it hooked up wrong and it over heated. fixed that now it doesnt overheat. But the temp flucuated even without the bypass in. The temp sensor is only a year old tops. I would think that it wouldnt have taken a dump already.
