Over Head Console Removal

I have a 1990 XJ and the headliner is sagging. I have read much of the head liner replacement advice, but have seen nothing about how to remove the overhead console so the headliner can be removed. How is this done?

Its easy in the front of the console the is one long screw undo that and push the console back it will take a little bit of force but it will come off and just unhook the wires.

Its easy in the front of the console the is one long screw undo that and push the console back it will take a little bit of force but it will come off and just unhook the wires.

...that will get the front of the console down. For the rear, you'll then need to slide the entire console forward until it slides off of the rear mounting bracket.
