Operation Fast and Furious

Yaa! Now we get the spectacle of the chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona taking the fifth,..

His story seems to be, "I jus did wut tey tol' me."

But he can't seem to say that under oath.
The chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona is refusing to testify before Congress regarding Operation Fast and Furious,..

Patrick J. Cunningham informed the House Oversight Committee late Thursday through his attorney that he will use the Fifth Amendment protection.

Cunningham was ordered Wednesday to appear before Chairman Darrell Issa and the House Oversight Committee regarding his role in the operation that sent more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa Cartel. Guns from the failed operation were found at the murder scene of Border Agent Brian Terry.

The letter,.. .., stunned congressional staff. Last week, Cunningham, the second highest ranking U.S. Attorney in Arizona, was scheduled to appear before Issa‘s committee voluntarily. Then, he declined and Issa issued a subpoena.

"To avoid needless preparation by the Committee and its staff for a deposition next week, I am writing to advise you that my client is going to assert his constitutional privilege not to be compelled to be a witness against himself." Romero(Cunningham’s attorney) told Issa.

An entertaining reaction from Rep. Issa, via Hot Air:
“The assertion of the fifth amendment by a senior Justice official is a significant indictment of the Department’s integrity in Operation Fast and Furious. The former head of the ATF has previously told the committee that the Justice Department is managing its response to Operation Fast and Furious in a manner designed to protect its political appointees. This is the first time anyone has asserted their fifth amendment right in this investigation and heightens concerns that the Justice Department’s motivation for refusing to hand over subpoenaed materials is a desire to shield responsible officials from criminal charges and other embarrassment.

“Coming a year after revelations about reckless conduct in Operation Fast and Furious were first brought to light, the assertion of the fifth amendment also raises questions about whether President Obama and Attorney General Holder have made a serious and adequate response to allegations raised by whistleblowers. Did Attorney General Holder really not know a senior Justice Department official fears criminal prosecution or is this just another example of him hiding important facts? The committee will continue to demand answers.”

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder's Anti-Gun Agenda recommended that media sources, entertainers and athletes……and the school board, to every day promote the anti-gun message, to brainwash people in order to change their thinking about guns.

He made these statement in 1995, while serving as a US Attorney, then moved on to the office of Deputy US Attorney General under Clinton and is now servin...g as US Attorney General under Obama.

Currently, US AG Holder continues to deny during the ongoing Congressional inquiry, any involvement in, or having any first-hand knowledge regarding the failed ATF gun-running program. The 2009-2011 phase, know as "Operation Fast and Furious" was exposed when Agent Brian Terry was murdered by attackers, using 2 AK-47 's sold under the program.

President Obama made this statement in 2009, while addressing the drug war in Mexico: "This war is being waged with guns purchased not here, but in the United States. More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that line our shared border". (Proven false)

This is very telling about how the 2nd Amendment is being intentionally undermined by those who are elected and appointed, and who also take the Oath of Office, swearing "to support and defend the Constitution of the United States...."

Try to contain your surprise if you can, but it seems that this internal probe of the DOJ, by the DOJ, while condemning the irresponsibility of certain players in the sternest terms, found “no evidence that Attorney General Eric Holder was informed about Operation Fast and Furious, or learned about the tactics employed by ATF in the investigation.”
Well, we got that cleared up. It was just,..
everyone below him. Which is why the president is using executive privilege in the matter.

Just released UNIVISON report gives much more detail on Operation Fast and Furious. The body count from Obama's failed gun-running operation just keeps rising.

If I sold a weapon illegally, I could be fined up to $10,000.00 and sentenced to 10 years in prison for each count. Time to hold accountable all of the Obama Admin who are involved in F&F, to the same law.

Been a while since this was on the front burner. I expect we'll get headlines like this for the next few years.
Police chief killed with rifle lost in ATF gun-tracking program

WASHINGTON—A high-powered rifle lost in the ATF’s Fast and Furious controversy was used to kill a Mexican police chief in the state of Jalisco earlier this year, according to internal Department of Justice records, suggesting that weapons from the failed gun-tracking operation have now made it into the hands of violent drug cartels deep inside Mexico.

I could care less if the gang vs gang pesticides continue, but I'd really like it if they would stop killing the police and innocent civilians.

Oh, and why hasn't the investigation on this continued?

"The "gift" that just keeps on giving."

Why hasn't Mexico indicted Obama, Holder, Napolitano, Mueller, Clinton, Morton, Melson--WH, DOJ, DHS, FBI, State, ICE, ATF?

Must be that amnesty for eleven to twenty million illegal aliens.

FBI agents run NICS. FBI agents were ordered to clear NICS for CONVICTED FELONS--who issued that order? Had to come from Mueller, so who ordered Mueller to do it? Two people have that power--Obama and Holder.

Oh now why do you want to go and connect the dots? If you do that it might draw some kind of picture, instead of the "random dots on a blank sheet of paper" message everyone in government and media has been pushing.

Gotta love those SOCIALIST stooges running the goobermint.
