What the best off road trail around LA or Orange Country. Im planning to take my 97' Jeep Cherokee XJ this weekend for some off road fun.

There is Azusa Canyon... i was thinking about trying to get out this weekend too..

I'm guessing that Azusa Canyon will be closed because of the rain, especially after the fires above the area.

Oh yeah... i totally forgot about thevery fire up there...
I know in OC the gate is closed for Maple Springs and even the Trabuco Creek gate out to Holly Jim is closed. So Orange County is out.. not that either are anything more than a mild fire road at best..

Unfortunately there really isn't any. Closest is probably Lytle creek/Cajon pass/ Cleghorn area

Right now the closest is probably the western end of San Bernardino National Forest. Cleghorn off the 15 or 2N49 at the end of Palm off the 215 are probably the easiest to get to.
