I've got a 2.5 HP Campbell Hausfeld air compressor. It's a direct drive, oil free unit (no maintenance) with an 11 gallon tank. 110V. It runs air tools no problem and fills tires. Sand blasting and painting take a little more than this thing has to give but for 95% of use, this does the trick.
I've got $120 into it with purchase, new check valve, new draincock and a new pressure switch.
