My door is falling off

Hey everybody been a while since i was on here life has been crazy but im back and i have a question that is probably pretty common. my driver side door is basically falling off. the reason..the frame is rusted out were the top hinge is mounted. i wanna get it fixed but im worried the metal is to thin to have somone weld it. can it be done or are there other options?

I did not get that lucky. The sheet metal around my hinges just plain gave out. Lucky I have access to a MIG welder.

To the OP, find a good body shop in your area.

If you can weld, cut out the bad metal and replace with 3/16 plate. Then weld hinges back on.
I just did my passenger side. It was bad.

Thats basically what happened to mine. just rusted out. The hinge itself is intact. Its just not attached to anything. Plus a year ago i cut the hinges for the doorless mod wich makes it even worse haha.
