motorcycle question

Sounds like a leaking injector. I've seen that 1000 times in cars and trucks. Like Grimm said a engine is a engine

Sounds like it to me.
The hissing is most likely the gas getting pushed past the piston while trying to start.

One way to check a fuel inejcted bike would be to find the relay for the fuel pump and pull it while the bike is running.
This will drain the fuel rail.
Leave bike over night and no fuel would leak into (down) onto the piston.
Bikes are a little different, the throttle bodies (or venturis) are almost directly over the intake valves.

Now, next day, start cranking and plug in the relay at the same time, don't let the computer give a three second pump prime.

You will have to pull the tank, air box and filter and try to look into each venturi to determine which injector is leaking by.

p.s. I try not to Google "blow by" or Hooker headers" when my wife is in the room
