Mile Marker hub convertion

Hmmm, seems like someone could take an old CJ D30 and flip it upsde down and weld up your coil and arm perches...then you would achieve the same thing right? Other than changing some brakes and such around it would mean a lot less cutting and welding regarding the yokes/knuckles...

your knuckles would be upside down
and you would have pinion bearing lube problems.

cutting and welding knuckles isnt all that much work - i found it fun.

I swaped in my D44, but cut and turned my knuckles to achieve proper castor - another reason that flipping the CJ axle would suck.

Good point! I didnt think about the caster or the lube properties of turning one upside down. I may do what bellavisa did...just for the hell of it, or swap in some fullsize early model F-100 axles...44/9inch...Not sure yet...Just right now I have the front locked, and it is eating my wallet from part wear!
Thats where the hubs would help me out...not to concerned about gas mileage...its only 1.5 miles to work!

Can you guys tell me if the MM conversion makes you any wider? The warn states 3/4 incher wider on each side. The MM conversion advertisement doesn't address width.
