McCain does not give a good speech

My apologies for insinuating that Obama even has a chance at winning...

I should have said:

Thank god Obama won't get elected because he wants to bomb our allies and negotiate with known terrorists.

Sorry about that and thanks for correcting me!

:wow::doh: wow...

I'm sorry, I just noticed your location.

To inform you a little better...since, when Obama speaks, all his supporters hear are the words "hope" and "change":

Obama has said he would bomb Pakistan, and wants to negotiate with Iran - who happens to be training and supplying insurgents in Iraq.

 yourself

actually...over a year ago he said that he would strike al quada cells inside pakistan. working unilaterally with the pakistany gov'...no where did he say he would flat out bomb pakistan.

also...Obama just condemned a nuclear Iran

'Iran a major threat; I would never hesitate to use our military force in order to protect homeland, US interests, Democratic presidential candidate tells FOX's 'The O’Reilly Factor'

so again tell me where...he wants to bomb pakistan and negotiate with Iran...btw he said that last bit...4 days ago.

LOL...then there he goes, changing his stance again....

The current administration would love to work unilaterally with Pakistan and bomb Taliban/insurgent/al Qaeda/terrorist-supporting tribal region villiges in Pakistan - but Pakistan has said no, and we have listened and respected that for the most part - there are a few exceptions. Obama has stated in the past that he would flat out bomb Pakistan:

Obama said if elected in November 2008 he would be willing to attack inside Pakistan with or without approval from the Pakistani government, a move that would likely cause anxiety in the already troubled region.
"If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will," Obama said. (Reuters, August 2007 http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSN0132206420070801).

He has also said he would negotiate with Iran:

Regardless of if he is condemning them NOW...

There's your where...

Now...about smacking YOUR head on YOUR desk.....

I could care less who can speak the best. Obama thinks he can turn us into a socialist country, which wont happen, and McCain just wants to fix what's broke. To me, neither candidate is great, but I can't see how anyone would vote for change that will never take place.

Republicans= Try and provide us the tools to help ourselves improve. Get people back to work, so you can pay for want you need.

Obama= Let me give everyone what they need. Stay on welfare, it's all free! Lets make everyone equal.

btw

Last night John McCain accused Barack Obama of, among other things, having "once suggested bombing our ally, Pakistan." This is a lie. ... There is nothing in Obama's speech, or any other Obama speech, about "bombing" Pakistan. Both implicitly and explicitly, he called for small, Special Operations-type incursions. ...
you should read this as well...apparently your boy mccain supports coups

also you should do a bit more research into his crooked VP candidate...shes not as squeeky clean as you think

btw jnickel...see what touting the party line will get you...misinformed and uneducated. nice work.

this is a lost cause...apparently nothing but foxnews can be reported here. go figure.

I share your sympathy...if nothing else.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/invasion

1. an act or instance of invading or entering as an enemy, esp. by an army.
2. the entrance or advent of anything troublesome or harmful, as disease.
3. entrance as if to take possession or overrun: the annual invasion of the resort by tourists.
4. infringement by intrusion.

Where is the UN authorization for such an act?

Funny but the left gets all freaked out when Bush goes to war against a genocidal dictatorship with explicit authorization of congress and the UN (see UN resolution 678), but when Obama threatens to launch illegal war against a nuclear-armed democratic Islamic ally well that's nothing to get bothered about

Guys,

Ironically, Bush and Obama's policies are becoming closer and closer:

Recently, we sent US troops into Pakistan to go after some HVI's, and we routinely fly UAV's and conduct missile attacks into Pakistan, based on...you guessed it, actionable intelligence.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080904/ts_nm/pakistan_usa_attack_dc

Bush initiated the most significant diplomatic contact with Iran since 1979.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/16/world/middleeast/16iran.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

Oh, and he sent someone to the six party talks in Asia to eliminate N Korea's nuclear program. Another country on the Axis of Evil. Those same countries he said supported terror and would never negotiate with.
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/06/20080626-9.html

And to me, "time horizons" is synonymous with "time line." (Well, besides the fact that one can never actually reach the horizon...but whatever...it's Bush)

I kinda had to laugh at this debate because the things you're criticizing Obama for saying is the same thing your boy Bush is actually doing. Seems hypocritical to me. And yes, I know the details may differ but the direction they are moving in is the same.
