I think I'll book a hotel in the MdR area, just to see something new, and it is somewhat in between L.A. and the LBC.

Any suggestions for a decently priced hotel?

The Radisson at LAX is pretty nice, and it shouldn't be more than $130 at most.

If you don't mind simple, non-fancy, the Motel 6 at LAX is cheap (~$60) and clean, even though the lobby might look not so impressive.
