Just purchased hood louvers

Just received the louvers today and they are just how they look on ebay. Now I just need to powder coat and install. If I have the money to buy a temp gun then I will take temp numbers before and after to give some results to my idea that louvers in the back will cool engine temps down significantly. This week and all of next week will be temps in the 100's so good time to do a test.

The point isn't insulation (it's steel anyway, not exactly an insulator) but blocking the ventilation.

Just stopping the air flow would give you some fairly significant data--the heat exchange of duct tape vs. stock hood metal in that small of an area shouldn't sway the numbers too much. This ain't Global Warming science and hockey sticks.
