Jon (xjtrailrider) and lacrosse

Who'd think we'd have a game snowed out?

No kidding! It looks like we are not be able to practice at all this week. The field is too wet. The county will not let us practice past dark due to the lighting issues and Wednesday is supposed to be our last day on that field then we move to Merriman 4.

What a mess!

Our boys/team kicked but last Friday night. They all played great!

Here ya go Matt!

Take out the one game v. RVLA where we got blown out and we were 8 goals away from being 12-1-0

I will be the gloating dad for a moment. My son is a left handed attackman and has played at the U11 level since he was 9. He has accumulated 72 goals(some were right handed) and 35 assist in his 3 years at this level. He is in love with the game and wants to play year round but also loves football so he will have to take a break in the fall. We had a great team this year and thanks to hard working kids like Matt's son it makes it easy to be a coach. Those sticks that Elijah makes are awesome!

Go ahead and brag he is a scoring machine.

Well if you put it that way LOL!

I hope that he is humble around other kids and adults. He seems to be to me. I try to keep him down to earth but you know how this age group is. The RVLA game humbled him a good bit. The opposing coach put his best midfielder on defense to guard Chase and held him to no goals in that fiasco. I got out coached and we got out played. I declared to myself that would not happen again.

Well another season under the belt.

Again Jon thanks.

Jon is retiring from coaching youth sports.

Jon has been coaching since 1993. Everything from football to basketball and lacrosse. When no one else would step up he was always there.

Thanks Matt!

I have always enjoyed it, I love kids! I just think its time to let let someone new take over and transition them into high school.

I say and I always will, this years lacrosse team was the most talented that I have ever coached and the boys gave all they had, we just couldnt pull it all together at times.

Elijah had a solid year and you should be a proud father Matt!

Congrats! My Niece graduates next Saturday from HS and will be playing for Saint Leo University next year. I think the whole Florida side of the family is excited about it.....
