Glenn, I need some practice with this thing before I go crashing in your white river, ya got there. Looks like a ton of fun and it is now on my list.

It is only like that after heavy rains. That is unusually high in these pictures.

I totally wanna go. Tree houses seem a lil expensive but looks cool!

The pictures I posted are the same river. It runs from near my family's house in Aiken County and joins with the North Edisto Branch and flows all the way to the ocean around Beaufort, SC. There is some good flat water around Aiken State Park I think it's call and down near Orangeburg IIRC.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edisto_River So it's 206 miles per wikipedia. I wonder how long it would take to traverse it?

This is dangerous! This MUST exceed the cargo capacity of your XJ.[/QUOTE]

the raft is not as heavy as you might think, but its probably over the "approved limit" by a bit. the only dangerous part is the wind; simply put go slow lol

well it took me 8 hrs to do 24 miles that were mainly flat on the Catawba i went from Lake Wylie to the end of Landsford canal state park.

I would love to try and tackle a length of river that would take me a few days.

Hmm, 206 miles? Id say at least a couple hours.

Im currently in a Wendys on 95 about 40 miles from Jacksonville. I've seen a thousand kayaks, a couple on jeeps and at least 100 rivers. And savanna ga is awesome!

Savanna and the low country has tons of flat water!

Any experience?

These are the ones we got.

I figured a picture of my fat ass in it might give you some comparison in size. Sorry thats a rather crappy picture since I edited and cropped with Paint.

My Yakima roof bars should be here this week and we're heading to the river on the 23rd.

I'll have to get a picture of them on the roof of the junk.
