I just had a 3 inch lift put on my 98 xj and also lowered my transfer case by 1 inch. when i hit about 30-35 it still vibrates slightly. Is it dropped to much of not enough? does it need something else? should I leave it alone or can it cause harm.

also i am not doing any real offroading only driving in sand on the beach

thanks

You may need an SYE instead of the t-case lowering kit. The 97+ XJs can tend to be more sensitive to lift and vibes.

It could. It would seem that the vibrations could cause issues with the output on your t-case. A H&T SYE is about $100 and you could likely use a stock XJ front shaft to keep costs down.

Check your driveline and pinion angles so you know exactly what condition is causing the vibes. could be that your rear pinion angle is still off and shimming it is all you need to do.
