Is there a replacement head comparable to Alabama Cylinder Head?

There are a ton of oil threads. Start up wear, diesel oils, synthetics, ZDDP and more. Best bet is to read 'em and decide for yourself. Personally, I'd run a 5W-30, 0-30, synthetic with the best ZDDP level you can find in that type. Everyone has a different opinion.

hesco has an iron head that is cnc'd for $1250, the aluminum one is $1995

I'll read up..thanks. As far as the chatter goes, should I be worried or is it just a jeep thing. Given the length of time I went before replacing the head I've been a little worried about the bearings. As I said before sounds fine when warm, with no noise whatsoever even under WOT.
