Illegal People In America

JarheadJon said:
The root issue; globalisim or nationalisim. I am an Americam who has been to 32 countries, so I appreciate this nation for all its glory. Language.... Read the Constitution, Bill Of Rights, The Pledge, and until recently our National Anthem; they are all written, read and spoken in English. Sure 600 years ago it may have been Spanish and Native dialects, but 40,000 years ago it was cavemanibberish. Point being, today this is the United States where we apply the American Rule of Law.

Back to the root issue. Our choice is globalize or nationalize. Unfortunately we are already pretty deep in to the global thing. Very few goods are produced in the good ol' USA anymore. We sold out to cheap overseas labor, and as a result alot of times get cheap imported goods. Now our services are getting rendered by cheap imported labor. Our children (I have a 10 year old boy) will bear the burden of our selling out for the sake of pennies. What trades will there be if there all being done by an imported underclass? What factories will produce our war goods in the future when China decides it is time to go Imperial?

Look in the clasifieds. In Eglish you will see AMERICA FOR SELL: CHEAP!!!

As you can see I favor Nationalism. Lets preserve the American Way, leave the socialist thing to the Europeans. My Avatar is a picture of my XJ's rear window. It states "SECURE OUR BORDERS ENFORCE OUR LAWS". I live in San Diego County and I get responses every day, all day. And I am here to tell you by a wide margin most are very favorable. Of course I get a lot of Latino HS kids reving there ricer next to me or giving me the bird. But all in all it has been great to see the favorable response to my message.

Well thats my rant. I have alot more to say but will close with this. You have to pardon my Nationalist view; I know I bleed Patriot Red because I saw in on the battlefield. And yes, that probably has fueled my desire to secure our border and enforce our laws. Note I did not say Close the border.

Americans, Its time to take ownership in our American problem. Illeagal Immigration.

Were your parents born in San Diego, youir Grandparents and there parents. Mine were and most of my genenration was run out of So. Cal by the easterners moving in and taking over. I've said for years and nobody seems to get it, when you run off the nieghbors, who is gonna move in to replace them? Who moves in when you run the Mexicnas off? On my mothers side, her mother had 13 kids in So. Cal, mostly girls, who also had large families. There are now maybe a couple of hundred. born in So. Cal that don't live there anymore. The come latelies, moved in and screwed the place up beyond all repair. And are now upset because it is happening to them. Sorry, but my sympathy level is pretty low.

. And just to get the whole thing into perspective, my little village just had it's 750th birthday. America is still going through growing pains and trying to stunt the growth and stop the changes is likely going to cause more problems than it solves.

And one other thing. Your 750 year old village.... Remember "oldtimer", the United States has the Oldest Constitution still in force in the world.

The process that lead to the Constitution, started way before America was a nation. Even before the Magna Carta. The Status Quo, usuaully isn't. Governement is a process, that likely doesn't begin and end with the Constitution.
Todays interpretation of the Constitution, likely, barely resembles the orginal concept.
It's been a long time since anybody has givin a darn about my "Life, Liberty and pursuit of happiness". The concepts in the Constitution, are admirable, but think a little and see just how many are relavent or anything near the original intent.
IMO the Law and Legislation has pretty much castrated the Constitution and the Ten Commandments. Somewhere along the road, the process became sidetracked and subverted. And what about Nigerian, female, midget, homosexual rights? Here is a political donation for your next campaign, if you'll look into it and pass some legislation for me.
You have the right to die, if you are poor and can't afford the best medical care. If you aren't upper class, your oppinion hardly matters, money talks. The dollar you save today is likely worth 10-20 cents by the time you retire. So you have to figure out a way, to save 700-1000 percent of what you will need when your 70. You pay into a Social Security program your whole life, that will likely implode before you get a chance at any of it (often the same with pension funds). The governement has likely borrowed enough, that it will never be paid back and most of your taxes goes to pay the interest on what they have borrowed, not for anything actually needfull.
Hey I've got an idea, lets blame it all on illegal immigrants.

It sounds like you have been in Europe to long. Of course there are other important isssues that need to be addressed. But since you have been away for so long you need to be advised that this is not a So Cal problem. It is very clearly an American problem. The residental labor force in Atlanta Ga is exclusively Mexican. Same thing in Idaho. Those are not border states. That is why this issue is polorizing so many Americans from both sides of the isle.

As far as your rant about medical care, inflation and the government not securing your future. Well I am not rich and wasnt born with a silver spoon in my mouth but I have secured my own future. Just like every American can provided they are not lazy and do keep their nose clean. This IS the land of opprotunity. Back to the issue that started all of this. There is a line to get in; every African, Asian, and European stande in it. Its time for the Latinos to do the same.

The point of the rant was to say there are bigger problems than illegal immigration.
Unless you can pack away a rather large portion of your income, you are gonna be shocked at how little your savings are worth when it comes time for retirement. If another Enron collapse, a pension fund rape or some other finanacial catastrophy deosn't wipe them out completely.
You pay into social systems your whole life, either through taxes (medIcade, medicare) or Social Security. The returns are going down and the cost of living is going up. If your 2006 dollar is worth a dollar, your 2046 dollar will likely be worth about 10 cents of purchasing power. Inflation affects some things more than others, but it averages out to about 13 cents on the dollar after 40 years.
I've been in Europe a long time, I actually eneded up about midway between some of my great great grandparents old points of origin. Most everybody in America is an immigrant. It was time for me to move on and West wasn't an option (I lived near the west coast and had been to the Orient).
Being in Europe wasn't a choice for me, I was sent here. Once I got here and established a family, moving, seemed less and less attractive to me. Europeans sure don't do everything well, but they have been at the job of governement some longer than the US has and do some things well. I'm not to proud to borrow an idea that works, are you?
There is an immigration problem in Europe right now also. From the north and the south. The one from the south makes me nervous, many of the immigrants to northern Europe are political refugees, that were run out of there home country for being Muslim fundamentalists. The Muslim refugees, are often not interested in assimilating or even partially homogonizing. They want to turn Germany to Muslim Fundamentalism.
I'd rather they were Mexicans. IMO, you could do worse for nieghbors. than having a Mexican ( or Latino) family move in next door.

I'll agree there after watching an interview were a hamas mother convinced THREE of her sons to be suicide bombers and they were...all three are dead now. Thats pretty nasty.....

I thought illegal immigration was the point we were discussing in the thread? Just because we have other problems doesn't mean this one doesn't exist or should wait til later.

have you been anywhere outside the united states? almost everywhere speaks english. It is my belief that many people want immigrants to speak english because they are too lazy to learn spanish...
I'm to lazy to learn Spanish, I'll admit it. But I don't that should be necessary when the largest group of Spanish-speakers is here illegally. I have no issues with Mexicans, Koreans, Czechoslovakians or whoever if they come here legally. Immigrate legally, become a citizen, and everything's good.
As to the Indians, yes, we did some seriously screwed stuff to them. We arrived, killed them, stuck on the crap land and called it charity. At the same time, you're not going to fix today's problems by saying, "oh yeah, well, look at them!"
I took a class trip to France a few years ago and I did run into a lot of people who spoke English, but there were plenty who didn't speak English. But I didn't expect them to know English. Same deal with the time I spent on Okinawa. Working at Best Buy here, I run into a lot of Spanish speakers everyday. Most are decent people who just happen not to speak English. I hate selling to them only because I can't explain stuff to them which makes me look bad as a salesman since they never buy anything but the computer. Don't dislike the people though. They come up to me and start speaking Spanish, and I say in my best Mexican accent, No Hablo Espanol. The only sentence I know in Spanish. Outside of Yo tengo un tortuga en me pantalones...

:D

I legal and illegal, begins and stops, for me, at the Ten Commandments (which nobody pays much attention to anymore), all the rest is just rules made by somebody (mostly) to benenfit somebody other than me.
The thing is, if you believe in the Ten Commandments, you might want to read up on what the rest of the Bible says. We're also told to obey the laws of the government placed over us. That means if you come here in a way that doesn't fit with the laws of our nation, you're wrong, in the gov't's eyes as well as God's. For all you atheists ;), I know you don't care what God says so I don' need any replies of that ilk...

Wetbacks are stealing your jobs? When did you lose your seasonal job picking produce? I think this country has bigger problems than some harmless Mexicans. Global terrorism? My memory isn't very good.....were the 9/11 hijackers Mexican immigrants? Nah... I think most of them, if not all of them came here legally. I guess that's okay though, since everyone supports legal entry into the country.

actually two were here under false identities and a third was here using his real name but a different place of birth as a student because he was denied entry using the true place of birth and name! well it is now a lot harder for people to get in to the United States from across the oceans without going through a more stringent back ground check but they can get into mexico and walk across, any one with a gallon of water and a pair of walking shoes can walk across the southern border and we say nothing!! but wait untill your wife, kids parrents and friends are killed by some psycho bastard that walked across the border with a bomb in the name of some distorted and twisted version of Alla's word then we will see how fast you support securing the borders better. i welcome every one that comes here to donate to society in the manner set forth by law, and if a terrorist does make it, oops. but if we never even try to stop them we might as well just lay down our arms, disband the military, you can surrender your fire arms to the local sherrif and hand over the toys you are playing with ( including the computer you are reading this on ) and pick up a book on airibic and start studying because your freedoms and life as you know it will be gone!!

if i have spanish as a second language its by my chioce, not because i am told i have to learn it or die! and we dont threaten the " Mexicans " with death if they dont learn english, we just ask them to let us know when they come over, and stand in line like 200,000,000 other people have done in the past. think a few nano seconds on that!

YOU MIGHT BE A RED NECK IF ....................
you post something like this just to slam someone for their viewpoint without contributing anything to the thread. :D

The United States was founded on the thought that WE are a melting pot, everything goes in and we all melt into the same thing, being American. Being American to me means NOT being Mexican-American, African-American, Indian-American, and German-American, etc; the hyphenation needs to stop.

If you go to the "rallies", they talk about equal rights for all, etc. I agree all human beings deserve equal rights under A constitution, but it should be THEIR CONSTITUTION, in THEIR COUNTRY.

At these rallies they chant about the war in Iraq, and how the US government should be talking care of them instead of the Iraqi(sp) people. I roll my eyes. We are their to give the Iraqi(sp) people their equal rights under THEIR NEW CONSTITUTION.

The rallie’rs all talk about what a hard life it is to border cross and hide out for weeks, to find work, send money to family members... However that life must be easier than trying to change their government and own political institutions. I believe what they are doing is a copout, and the easy road. Some of our forefathers fought and died in the American Revolution to change our government and our political institutions. Equally as important, are the forefather that came here after that. They also believed in the same values and would have fought for those values. I don’t believe the people coming here now would have, or will ever fight if it comes down to it.

drew carey was on a talk show and said he was amazed to be at a soccer game in mexico city and everyone stood up and chanted "osama". illegal is illegal. how fair is it to the people who go thru the channels to come in? there was a girl on a radio program who came from a southeast asian island. she's been thru everything to get here and has been trying to get her mother permission to come visit for the last 7 years. while the mexicans wander across the border. if you want to give them medical (They get it, none of the urgent care places can turn em away legally) and fight in wars while they just reap the benefits of our sacrifice go for it. i have a bud who's the head of his county drug task force and they have a lot of mexicans coming thru who are just drug mules. when they are caught with several suitcases full of other empty suitcases, you know what they are up to. if i have a roofing company (just for example) and i can pay them $7 an hour why hire american labor for $15?

just got this email, kind of says it all:

Dear President Bush:

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this. I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrat s for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

7. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

8. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

9. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

10. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

11. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

12. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.
