I've heard bad things about the durability of bushwackers.

Bushwackers are hard plastic and instead of absorbing impacts they crack. I have heard that TJ flares work great. I am about to some Rubicon flares on my rig. They are sitting in the shop waiting for some spare time!

All high performance cars have those for cooling down the brakes. Mine are just up a little higher than on italian and german sport cars.
