Hypothetically,
Say you have an alternator that will pass an alternator machine test, but when under load wont put out the voltage needed. with the lights on it wont charge and will sometimes discharge! The store wont replace it under warranty because it passes on the machine, but it is nowhere near good enough for use, plus who could trust a component that is already failing?
How would you make sure that your alternator would fail an alternator machine test so that you could get a new one?
