I'm having a problem with my 89 Renix. My fuel pressure isn't building up like it should, leading to VERY long startup times. I'm thinking its the pressure regulator at the beginning of the fuel rail since well, it's been tapped by a hammer more than few times to fix a certain leak and the drop in fuel pressure comes very quickly.
If I turn the key on, let the fuel pump prime, then key off, then on, then off and on back again, the fuel pump will prime once again, showing to me that I'm losing pressure very quickly. Does the fuel reg sound like the culprit?
Thanks
