Fuel, air and engine treatment and cleaning

I've read-through many of the threads/posts regarding cleaning and treatment with Seafoam or BG44K (both products are highly recommended here). I'm going to do this myself, this weekend, for the first time on my '88 and my wife's 91. I noticed and one of the members recommended replacing the spark plugs after treatment. My question is just how important this is. My plugs are not due for replacement. I guess I can easily-enough remove one or two and see how they look after the cleaning process and a few driving miles . . . . . whatdayathink? Don
