Interested in a new to you rig? I am. I love getting new things, and get bored quick. I bought this XJ this past spring, and as fun as it is and as capable as it is, I'd like a change. I miss the open top vehicles, and would love to trade for a nicely built CJ/YJ/TJ or a buggy-fiied chopped XJ.

I'd even go for Yota, Sammy buggy-ish thing, early Bronco. Just about anything interesting looking. Doesn't have to be pretty, don't mind dents and scratches. Not looking for stock vehicles or stock drive train. Don't wanna worry about snapping axles. Also not looking for a fullsize rig. Doesn't have to be a streetable vehicle, but I wouldn't mind being able to run a couple miles to 7-11 in it. I've got a trailer is my point. Post or PM what ya got.

Really not looking to sell, but if I gotta take a price I'd say $8000.

The exterior is fairly beat up, but I've got three spare doors that go with it if you want to swap and paint them to match. Glass is all good, and all power options work. Could use a new driver sideview mirror if you plan to street it alot as it shakes quite a bit when moving. All it may really need is a pair of limiting straps on the front axle. The front coils occasionally fall out during full articulation.

The XJ is also registered and titled in VA with a clear title in hand, and has a current safety inspection good through Spring.

I remember when this thing sold from the original builder it went for less then that... Those are all his pictures and I remember the build.

I know you said you'd rather trade, just saying that a bunch of us remember the original.

Since he sold it for $6k hydraulic assist steering and a full internal rollcage was installed. You interested in the purchase? If so make an offer. If not why bring it up?

After hearing out the wife on what seems like a logical argument, I'll also be entertaining trade offers on a 97-02 TJ. Gotta be 6 cylinder and clean. Would be for the wife as a new daily driver. Auto & manual both ok. If you have a very clean CJ7 I'd love to see them too.

What kind of steering ram is that? It's one of the smallest ones I've seen. PSC?

Not PSC... got it from surplus center. it's a 1.5" bore x 8" stroke x 1" rod single ended dual action ram with swivel eyes at both ends. could stand to be a little faster, but it cleaned up/tightened up the steering wonderfully for street driving and makes it effortless offroad.

I have a bunch of YJs in my sig are some details but I'm far from you as I live along with IL/WI border. I bought a XJ out in Richmond 3.5 yrs ago when I moved back to Illinois from California.
