front ds vibe question

Can about 1/16" play in front ds slip yoke cause vibration at highway speeds? I am runnings 32's with 4.56 gearing so that sucker is spinning good.

done a lot of searching, could not find a specific response, thanks

Pull the front DS and take it for a drive, if it goes away, then yes.

already took front ds out and yes vibes are gone when driving. Trying to determine problem on ds is it the angle, the yoke (1/16" of play) or the u-joints? IS the slip yoke supposed to have any play?

Well, hard to say. The 1/6" isn't much, but it could be enough. You could fill slip yoke with some very heavy grease and make a short run to see if the vibration changes, that could be enough to make a determination.
