Front Driveshaft Too Short

You want a shaft from an 89-01 w/ AW4.

if it is exactly like yours (and you have an 87) - thats your problem right there.

The Crown Automotive site does not even list my year with the 4.0.

I measured the one I bought and it is just SHY of 28",so I
figured I might have one out of a 2.5 instead of a 4.0

But why would my original front shaft measure 28-1/2" ?
I'm just not getting it I guess......

measure the length you need but yeah sounds about right.
