Front drive shaft spline wear.

Is there any remedy for a worn out slip joint on the front driveshaft short of replacing the whole thing? I've got two that have considerable slop in them and xjs are getting super scarce in the junkyards. Also I'm pretty much perpetually broke.

A ZJ front drive shaft maybe a close swap since they share same style front axles and usually T/C like the NP 242 I have

Might have to look into that, there are usually many zjs. I have a 242 but im currently using the front shaft out of a 2000 with a 231, seems to be the same length.
