Fire wall seals

I've recently relocated my battery to the back of the Jeep and I used 3/0 wire for the cables. I routed the wires under the Jeep as we all know how hard 3/0 wire is to bend and fit inside the Jeep. Well, I just drilled a hole in the floor to allow the cable into the cab and I think I should have found a fire wall seal first before drilling. Anyhow, does anyone have any ideas where or what kind of seal I could use for this project to seal the rear end of the Jeep off from the elements? I have some helicopter parts I might use, but I won't be getting them for a few weeks when the plane drops into phase and even then I don't know if they'll work. Anyone have some suggestions? Maybe the guys who did shocks through the floor have anything that you all use?

Well, for one of the holes, I used a drain plug hole that I had cut the plug up on. It worked well for going straight in and out, but it is obviously going forward, so it lays at an angle, not vertical, so the grommet pulls out. I am not so concerned with chafing as I am with a good seal keeping the outside out and the inside in. With that will come protection for the cable. I think that something like this is more what I'm looking for and I can put a vaccume line around the cable to keep it from rubbing through.

bingo! check this one out. Took some time looking at the fuel line stuff, thinking the 3/0 cable is about the size of some fuel lines, right?!

I am using two in my rig. It has a seal/insulator in it, and as you tighten the two pieces up it "clamps" the wire for a waterproof seal. Been using them for over three years, and zero problems.
Those are very nice. probably overkill for your application but that's not a bad thing. We use them on boats to run propane lines into the interior from cockpit lockers. had a customer take greenwater over the side, blow apart the lid on the locker and fill it to the top with water. seal held fine though, not a drop inside.

incidentally this is what i use to seal things coming through the firewall.

Hahahahaha! Pressure tape! We use that at work all the time! We get that stuff by the 25' roll! Yeah, I could definately use some of that.

The only problem here is I'm running 3/0 wire and I can only find 1/0 wire seals. Do they make any for 3/0? I haven't found any yet. Also, the holes are 3/4" holes, so the seal needs to be a bit larger.
