factory 97 gas tank skid?

Just search, ZJ skids will fit on a 97-01 XJ, you just have to open up one hole on each side by about 1/4. Several of the local 97+ XJ's are runinng ZJ skids.

Mind telling me which hole you need to open to make my install go smoother?

Well i am not sure on the years but only UpCountry or maybe a couple special order packages i.e. police/forest service XJ's came with skids.

Skid plates were a special order option or part of an off road option package on all years of XJ's. Either way, they had to be ordered or were installed by the owner or the dealership.
