Hey guys, formalities first: 1999 xj classic 4dr, 4x4, 4.0, AW4.
Swapping out the engine with another 4.0 out of a 97 xj. I understood the swap should be pretty straightforward, that is until I realized that the engine out of the 97 xj was out of a manual....is it as simple as swapping the flywheel from the manual jeep engine with the flex plate from my old engine? I'm sure hoping so in that I didnt just purchase an engine that isn't going to work with my AW4. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
