When editing post. it does not say save. instead it says vote now.

I've also seen this. It's rather odd, I think it's a vbulletin issue.

I suspect it's related to the way adding a poll to a thread is effectively done by immediately editing it, but that's just a gut feeling...

It's just the button label - it saves the post just as it normally would.
