Wtf is this? it gets hot as shit when the door is open.

Never seen something like that, it must not have broken yet on my XJ :roll:
From the fact that it has a yellow wire and a pink wire and it gets hot when the door is open I'd bet it's something to do with the dome light circuit. The yellow/red wire, I'm not sure.
Looks like some sort of relay or blinker module?

well, if it is the buzzer, it aint working, lol!
i had it off and it didnt change anything so, i guess ill leave it off.

It's the ballast for the little light around the keyhole of the ignition switch, of at least '95, and '96, not sure about later models. It also stays on for about 15 seconds after you shut the door. Anytime a door is open-even the hatch, if it has a switch-it will come on.
