does vaccum bottle affect 4wheel drive?

The vacuum bottle is a reserve vacuum to insure vacuum exists in the system when accelerating. If you've ever experienced loosing your outside air when accelerating, chances are your vacuum bottle isn't doing its job.
The vacuum disco requires vacuum to engage, and vacuum to disengage. Once engaged, it tends to stay engaged, even if no vacuum is present. So removing the "foot ball" shouldn't affect operation accept if you're trying to engage/disengage while putting the skinny pedal to the metal. In my good 'ol disco days, I've noticed the 4-wheel light go out when accelerating, but the axle did not disengage--only the air vents closed. I've also had the circumstance where I couldn't disengage the front axle because the air line at the axle was broken.
