The early and mid 80's Lincoln Mk's had a simular setup. I robbed a lid from one to graft onto the console top of my 63 Galaxie XL. It slides out of the front edge. They sure weren't thinking about drink holders in 63! Oh yeah...snagged it for nuthin. The car had been submerged at the yard and the interior was wasted, but good ol' plastic doesn't care.
