Does anyone know if a CPS has a service life expectancy.
Mine has 170k on it and I would rather change it rather than have it fail out on the desert somewhere.
Thanks---Rick

just keep a spare, theres no actual life expectancy, and don't buy cheap ones, they just break faster.

So get one, change it and keep the old as a spare. Other than a PITA getting access to the 2 bolts, it's a pretty easy swap.

Mine crapped out about 5 miles from home. Once it cooled, I could start, drive about 1/2 -3/4 of a mile (with traffic lights) and it would die again. Limped all the way home liked that.
