CJ's in Mexico

While I was in Cozumel last week, I must have seen 50 or so CJ5s and 7s, along with a couple of D110's and D90's during my stay. Considering the small size of the island and the relatively low per capita income, it made me wonder: Is there some 'secret' CJ supply outlet down there?

Probably a combination of capable, won't leave you stranded 4wd along with the dry climate and lack of road salt helps make those puppies live longer.

AMC built CJs in Mexico. Dunno, but they might have kept the CJ in production down there after it was phased out here.
