Christmas Jeeping, Albuquerque Style.

My Wife, Daughter, and I decided to go Jeeping for Christmas for the 2nd year in a row. Our friend Steve (runs www.nmoffroad.com ), Mike (with the Rubicon) joined us for a snow run in the Rio Puerco.

For those that saw my race video, this is the same place the last race was run, and where the KOH qualifier will be ran in May.

We did not anticipate as much snow as there was, but it made for a nice change from the desert sand. The areas that were clay were a real bitch. Steve almost rolled his Jeep in a spot that looks like kids play. He took a strap from me.

I took a strap while trying to climb "toilet bowl". I got at an angle that would not let me back down without flopping the XJ. With 3 passengers, that was not an option. Steve gave me a tug with the strap, and all was good.

We had a great time, did not break anything. Prime Rib is cooking now... MERRY CHRISTMAS. I feel so fortunate to have family and friends that are all too happy to jump in their Jeeps and go play on Christmas.

Mike should have video later that has some of my XJ... and probably me getting the strap. My first time in this XJ needing a tug.
